A four-day, cross-country cycling journey for leaders in business

PLUMB LINE presents the Sound CEO programme – a space to think, connect with your inner drive and learn from other executives, whilst having a lot of fun in nature on your bicycle. Our programme aims to facilitate an experience of pause for leaders who are intentional about their influence.
The Sound CEO programme will equip you with tools to be both successful and happy in your role as a leader in business. It is a space to interact with other leaders, share knowledge, experience and encouragement whilst exploring a scenic part of the Western Cape on your bicycle.
THE JOURNEY
We take you on a four-day, cross-country cycling trip where you pedal from point A to B in your own time, with full back-up available. You stay in comfortable B&Bs in rural towns and farms, enjoy hearty meals, fresh air and perspective that only mountain biking can provide. Distances vary from 60 to 80 km per day, with ample time to stop for a coffee or a craft beer along the way. Transfers, accommodation, training materials and two daily meals included.
Our daily rhythm includes reflections on what is important to you, what you need at this stage and to connect with your inner drive at a deep level. We share tools and techniques to quiet your mind, allowing for both creative, strategic thinking and then focus on what counts in the next phase of life and career. Evenings are for sharing stories, good food and being intentional about rest.

We can accommodate 8 people on a journey. A variety of well-planned routes are available to suit the preferences of the group and all journeys are facilitated by experienced and well-trained facilitators. Journeys are also tailored to specific outcomes i.e. leadership development, visioneering or strategic planning. Please contact us for more information and to discuss your desired outcomes.

Enrolment
The cost of the programme is R9 500 per person and includes the following:
- Leadership programme facilitated by Wickus Guelpa and Pieter du Plessis
- Individual coaching session per attendee with Wickus Guelpa
- All training materials
- Transport from Stellenbosch and back, including bicycles
- Back-up vehicle
- Accommodation in lodges and guesthouses (2 nights)
- All meals during the trip (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
LOCATION
We depart from Stellenbosch via shuttle and will start pedalling from a few kilometres past Touwsrivier. A beautiful dirt road runs parallel to the N1 and this will take us to our first stop, Wagendrift Lodge. The lodge is situated roughly 30 kilometres from Laingsburg, enroute to Ladismith. The next three days will be spent riding scenic routes in the area, ending at African Game Lodge outside Montagu. The shuttle will drop you off in Stellenbosch on Saturday afternoon. It is an option to stay longer and have your family join you should you wish to do so.
